How the Factory Grew

Dongguan Cainan Clothing was founded in 2010 in Dalang, Dongguan — the knitwear cluster that supplies most of China's sweater production. The first years were domestic knitwear manufacturing, which is where the machine base and the linking and finishing teams were built.

Export work started in 2020. Serving overseas brands changed how we run projects: tech pack reading, measurement tolerance discipline, labelling and packing requirements, compliance documents and shipment coordination became part of the standard workflow rather than something handled case by case.

Today the factory runs 70 computerized flat knitting machines covering 3G to 14G, with in-house linking, washing, pressing, quality control and packing. Capacity is around 150,000 pieces a month depending on construction and season.

Who You Work With

A knitwear order touches several teams, and buyers usually want to know who answers what:

• Development and sampling — yarn selection from 100+ yarns and 200+ colour cards, knit-downs, proto and pre-production samples.
• Merchandising — your daily contact for quotations, approvals, timing and change requests.
• Production planning — machine allocation, yarn booking and scheduling against your shipment date.
• Quality control — an independent team that reports outside the production line, covering raw material, inline, finishing and final audit.
• Finishing and packing — washing, pressing, mending, labelling and export packing.

What We Make

Sweaters and pullovers, cardigans, knit dresses and gowns, sweater vests and sleeveless knitwear, knit hoodies and zip styles, plus knit sets. Craft options include jacquard and intarsia, cable and textured stitches, embroidery, hand crochet, beading, tie dye and washed finishes.

We work as an OEM factory when you bring the specification, and as an ODM partner when you start from a concept. Our buyers are brands, wholesalers, distributors, e-commerce sellers and boutique retailers, mostly in North America, Europe and Asia — we also exhibit at Sourcing at MAGIC in Las Vegas, where many of them first meet us.
