MOQ & Lead Time
for OEM/ODM Knitwear
Transparent minimums and timelines so you can qualify fast, plan launches confidently, and avoid production surprises.
Quick Fit Check — Are We a Match?
You’ll get the fastest, most accurate quote if you can answer these 3 questions:
How MOQ Works (Clear & Practical)
Understanding the variables that dictate minimums.
What this means in practice:
More colors and more size splits generally increase the minimum workable quantity.
Complex stitches/crafts or special yarns may require a higher MOQ to keep consistency and efficiency.
Tell us your target—MOQ flexibility depends on yarn and complexity.
Lead Time Overview (What to Expect)
Clear timelines for samples and bulk production based on typical order sizes.
Sample Lead Time
Typically 3-7 days, though high complexity may extend this slightly.
Usually 5–10 working days to your address (carrier and destination dependent).
- Custom dye or special yarn sourcing
- High-complexity jacquard/cable/embellishments
- Peak season capacity constraints
- Extra sample revision rounds (after first sample)
Bulk Lead Time by Quantity
Below are reference production ranges (final schedule confirmed after RFQ and PP approval):
| Bulk Quantity (per order) | Reference Production Lead Time |
|---|---|
| < 500 pcs | ~15–35 days |
| 500–1,000 pcs | ~25–45 days |
| > 1,000 pcs | By agreement (based on style mix & capacity) |
What Impacts Price & Lead Time
To quote accurately (and avoid change orders), we confirm these variables early in the RFQ phase:
Why 50 pcs and 500 pcs Can Take Similar Time?
This is one of the most common questions in knitwear production.
Short answer: Production time is driven by line setup + machine allocation, not only the unit count.
For larger orders, we can often assign more machines in parallel. Smaller orders may have limited machine allocation and still require the exact same setup steps—so the calendar time can look similar.
What you can do to speed things up:
- Keep yarn/fiber and colors simple
- Reduce stitch/craft complexity
- Confirm PP earlier (PP locks the standard)
- Consolidate colors or styles when possible
